Privacy Policy

Who we are and scope

4 Degrees LLC, doing business as Lifebar ("Lifebar," "we," "us," or "our"), develops and operates Spellvale. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Spellvale mobile application on iOS or Android or visit the Lifebar website.

Information we collect

• App identifiers: an anonymous Unity user ID and a device identifier used to authenticate players and operate the app.
• Approximate location: coarse location, such as country or region, used for app configuration and functionality. Advertising providers may infer approximate location from an IP address. We do not request precise GPS location for advertising.
• Crash and diagnostic data: information about crashes, errors, and technical performance used to maintain reliability.
• Purchase information: Apple or Google processes payments for in-app purchases. We may receive the product purchased, a transaction identifier and status, and fulfillment information, but we do not receive your full payment-card details.
• Gameplay and product analytics: Spellvale sends authenticated, pseudonymous events to Lifebar's production analytics service. These may include a player and session identifier, app version and build, progression and feature interactions, purchase and fulfillment status, rewarded-ad outcomes and impression revenue, and bounded technical diagnostics. Our product telemetry rejects raw purchase receipts, raw store transaction identifiers, advertising identifiers, precise location, names, email addresses, submitted word text, URLs, request bodies, logs, and stack traces.
• Optional rewarded advertising: if you choose to watch an ad, Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, and participating advertising partners may process IP-derived approximate location, advertising or device identifiers, interactions during the ad experience, ad-related app usage, and technical diagnostic or performance information. The data available to them depends on your device, platform, region, privacy choice, and settings.
• Website and correspondence: our hosting provider may process standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, and request time. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate anonymous players; configure, operate, secure, and improve Spellvale; deliver and measure optional rewarded advertising; fulfill and reconcile purchases; provide support; diagnose technical issues; understand feature use and game performance; prevent fraud; comply with law; and enforce our terms. Spellvale asks for an advertising privacy choice before initializing LevelPlay and makes the available choice accessible in Settings. Choosing limited ads does not eliminate all ad-related processing needed for delivery, measurement, frequency control, security, or fraud prevention.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate Spellvale, including Unity Technologies for authentication, Remote Config, in-app purchasing technology, LevelPlay mediation, and Unity Ads; Apple and Google for app distribution and payment processing; Lifebar's hosting, database, and analytics infrastructure providers; and advertising demand, measurement, security, and fraud-prevention partners participating through LevelPlay. Advertising partners may receive approximate location, advertising or device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information for ad delivery and measurement, analytics, frequency control, security, and fraud prevention. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy notices.

We do not sell information for money. Depending on applicable law and the advertising partner's processing, ad disclosures may be considered “sharing,” targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising even when Spellvale requests limited or non-personalized ads. Spellvale passes applicable privacy choices to LevelPlay and supported partners. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the service, maintaining security and records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful backup and recordkeeping requirements.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us using the address below. Because Spellvale uses anonymous authentication, we may need an app or player identifier to locate relevant records, and in some cases we may be unable to connect anonymous information to you.

Rewarded ads are optional and appear only when you choose to start them. Spellvale offers an advertising privacy choice before initializing LevelPlay and makes the available choice accessible again in Settings. Device advertising controls may also limit or reset an advertising identifier. These choices may reduce personalization, but do not necessarily prevent technical processing needed to deliver, measure, secure, and reward an ad.

Children

Spellvale and the Lifebar website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Spellvale and our services evolve. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date.

Guest play, optional sign-in and saved progress

Spellvale supports guest play using an anonymous player identifier supplied by Unity Authentication. Game progress and preferences are currently saved on your device. Removing the app or clearing its data can remove this local save. An anonymous player identifier or support ID alone does not guarantee that we can recover your progress.

Google and Apple account linking is in development and is not available in public builds. When optional linking is available in your build and you choose to use it, your provider authenticates you and supplies an identity credential. Spellvale sends that credential to Unity Authentication to verify your identity and associate the provider identity with your existing Spellvale player account. We do not receive your Google or Apple password. Provider sign-in is optional and separate from an in-game display name.

Linking an identity does not, by itself, upload your saved game or guarantee recovery on another device. Cloud backup is not currently available. We will explain any cloud-backup feature and update this policy before enabling it.

Information used for linked accounts

For account linking, we and our authentication provider process the provider account identifier, Spellvale player identifier, authentication credentials and linked-account status. Credentials are used to verify identity, not for advertising. The current Apple credential request does not request your name or email address. Google integration is still being implemented; we will identify any name, email or profile information received in this policy before enabling that feature.

We use linked-account information to associate and authenticate your Spellvale account, address account-support requests and help prevent unauthorized access. We do not request access to Gmail messages, contacts, calendar or Google Drive files for account linking.

Apple and Google process sign-in requests when you choose their respective options. Unity Authentication verifies the credentials and maintains the association with your Spellvale account. Each provider also processes information under its own applicable privacy policy.

Local data and deletion requests

Uninstalling Spellvale or clearing local data is not the same as deleting server-held account or purchase records. Revoking access through Google or Apple is also not the same as requesting deletion from Lifebar. See our account deletion request page or email help@yourlifebar.com. We may need enough information to verify your request and identify the relevant records. Never send passwords or authentication tokens.
